Tom Chmelik

Thomas J. Chmelik is ​a co-founder, Director, and Chief Financial Officer of MainStreet Ban​k. He is also the Chief Financial Officer of MainStreet Banc​shares, Inc. the holding company for MainStreet Bank.
 
From 1998 to 2002, Tom was the Chief Financial Officer and a director for a local community bank. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Financial Officer as part of a World Bank initiative during the restructuring of The National Bank of Commerce, the largest commercial bank in Tanzania, Africa, from 1995 to 1998.
 
Tom was the Chief Financial Officer for Colombo Bank in Bethesda, Maryland, from 1993 to 1995, and he was the Chief Financial Officer for Franklin National Bank of Washington, D.C., from 1989 to 1993. Tom has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Belmont Abbey College.
