FAIRFAX, VA – MainStreet Bancshares, Inc. (OTCQX: MNSB) welcomes Lisa Kilgour as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer of MainStreet Bank and MainStreet Bancshares, Inc. As Chief Information Officer, Kilgour will oversee technical operations and help create more lean processes to help sustain and excel growth.
Kilgour most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Operations at Middleburg Bank. Ms. Kilgour held this position over 22 years and consistently improved the bank’s efficiency, reduced costs and served as a leader with the organization. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Kilgour built a high-performing operations team and continuously improved the processes and management methods which resulted in a higher return on investment and workflow optimization.
Ms. Kilgour has spent 33 years in community banking and is an expert on Jack Henry and Associates (JHA) financial software. Her in-depth knowledge of the system capabilities coupled with her understanding of the end-user experience make her the ideal person to help lead MainStreet Bank’s continued growth. Ms. Kilgour served on the JHA Silverlake National Board in various positions, was a member of the VBA Operations and Technology Committee, and is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of Virginia 1st. Ms. Kilgour is a graduate of the VBA Executive Leadership program, Leadership Loudoun, and BAI Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology.
Ms. Kilgour has spent her career in banking, having started in 1984 with Farmers and Merchants Bank in Hamilton, Virginia as a computer operator. During her 9 years with Farmers and Merchants Bank, she held positions of increasing managerial responsibility and ultimately led all data processing and operations as the Vice President of Operations. She then served as the Chief Operating Officer of Middletown Valley Bank in Middletown Maryland from 1993 to 1995, prior to joining Middleburg Bank in Virginia.
