One of the great benefits of my job is the ability to spend time talking with customers. It's great because I'm pretty much always hearing good stuff.

That "good stuff" is usually about how easy it is to bank with us in the branch and online, and how enjoyable it is to work with the people here.  That powerful combination really does set us apart from most other banks.

I received an email from a customer in our Fairfax Branch just the other day.  She was home caring for her sick child and the branch helped her with her banking needs over the phone.  She wrote: "I really can't express the gratitude I felt with the customer service I received.  I have only been a MainStreet Bank client for a few months, but the rewards just keep getting better and better."

Now tell me, if you were in my place and you received that message - wouldn't it make your day?  I can tell everyone how good our team is, but as my British friends say, "the proof of the pudding is in the eating."

Meet MainStreet: Debbie Maher


Technology is great, but there is a time and a place for it.  At MainStreet, we don't let a computer answer our phone.

When you call MainStreet, you get Debbie... And she usually answers before the end of the second ring.

If you know what you need or who you need to speak with, she'll get you there fast.  If you aren't sure, or are simply interested in learning about our rates or other products, she can take care of that too.

We've always prided ourselves in having the "right mix" of technology and personal service.  With people like Debbie, that's an easy thing to do.

Q. When I use and Allpoint ATM, it sometimes looks as if I will be charged a user fee?

A. Not to worry, you will not be charged a fee for using an Allpoint ATM even if the receipt you get shows a fee.  Allpoint has been working to resolve this with all of the ATMs in their network.
